Hello. My name is Alan Predmore from the Buckley Fire Department. I--along with a highly motivated team from my department--will be participating for a fourth year in the Firefighter Stair Climb.

At 788 feet of vertical elevation, the Columbia Center (formerly Bank of America Tower) in downtown Seattle stands as the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. It takes 69 flights of stairs and 1,311 steps to reach the highly acclaimed observation deck overlooking the city--and we climb those 69 flights in full firefighter battle gear. While this event is a physical challenge for firefighters, it is nothing like the challenge of fighting cancer.

TAKE (or MAKE) the CHALLENGE! You probably heard that I'm getting crazy as the years go on, I made "the climb" twice in 2006 and 2007--I'll do that again in 2008 if you force me! If at least 40 individuals make a donation of $100 or more, I will climb twice in 2008! I CHALLENGE YOU TO CHALLENGE ME..... Thanks for your Support!

This event is really about raising money to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All proceeds from this event benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Buckley Fire Department 2006 Climbing Team

Last year, the City of Buckley Fire Department won the title of TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM with a team total donation of $36,407. We also won that coveted title in 2004 and 2005, and in the 4 years we've been climbing, our team has raised OVER $100,000 to help fight cancer. Our Team wants to keep the title of Top Fundraising Team in 2008! Please help me and our Team reach that goal!
