I was given this address to try in my search for a FRANK ALLRICH/ALRIDGE. He is supposed to have been some kind of kin to my "mystery" g-grandmother, who I cannot locate despite years of trying. Her name was MARY JANE SMITH, born 1865 in Louisiana (parish unknown, parents unknown) according to the only place I have ever seen her documented - the 1900 Bowie County, Texas census. Family oral tradition says that an "uncle" named FRANK ALLRICH (etc) came "down from Oklahoma" to visit one Thanksgiving around 1910-1920 to Texarkana, Texas where MARY JANE SMITH was living at the time. She was married to RICHARD E. MARKHAM of Texarkana, Bowie Co., Texas where she died about 1902. This family was Choctaw, MARY JANE SMITH MARKHAM said to have been full/blood and the "uncle" FRANK ALLRICH was also Choctaw. He may have been living in the old Choctaw District of Indian Territory (Okla) at the time. I would very much like to find some likely candidates for this old gentleman, as stories about him have been passed down for the last 100 years. Nothing more is known other than what is above. He was possibly kin to one of MARY JANE'S parents. I will be willing to research any and all ALLRICH/ALDRIDGE's with the first or middle name of FRANK or FRANCIS about that time period. I've run across a new discrepency in my ARLEDGE tracings... Menton ARLEDGE was supposedly a son to John Hugh and Isabelle Melissa Thompson ARLEDGE. I have his birth date as 1886. I also have a letter from a man in California (written in 1964 when he was over 80 years old) who said he used to play with Menton who was around his age. 1886 could be possible for that. BUT... John Hugh ARLEDGE died in 1879...not possible for his child to be born 7 years later. Isabelle didn't remarry, so where did this extra child come from?
