Chat software enables you to carry on live discussions with a group in real time. Here is a link to a software package that you can load onto your computer to do just that. This program will connect you to any number of Internet Relay Chat networks. mIRC is the best chat client on the web hands down, and makes it really easy to chat. mIRC is shareware, which you can download and try for free, and then pay 20 bucks or so if you like it. At the bottom is a link to paraCHAT, a free chat window for homepages like this one. The only drawback is the advertising they blast at you, but hey it's free -- I can't complain.
